We are looking for a self-motivated, passionate Senior Business Intelligence Developer to join our Clearing Data Analytics team. In this role you will develop a deep understanding of our Clearing Houses business processes. You will focus on understanding the data models and fields, integrating data, and helping users access data in an understandable and performant way. The right candidate has a unique mix of technical skills and business-process savvy, will work with our end-users to define priorities, communicate them to the data warehouse development team and will proactively develop and maintain tools, automation, and data analytic solutions to help our users achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop end-to-end scalable analytical solutions using Tableau to support critical business processes
- Help identify high-impact analytics use cases and communicate it to the data warehouse development team
- Develop data models based in our data warehouse for the use of our self-service BI users
- Interact with technology and business stakeholders to provide solutions for business data analytic requirements
- Perform hands-on design, development, configuration and testing of BI reports and dashboards for new and existing business metrics
- Become proficient in our data model and data structures to quickly respond to business queries and requests
- Maintain a consistent, clear, and useful data dictionary
- Use SQL and other database access tools and methods to address business or technical requirements
- Create and maintain up to date documentation of the data model, data flow and field level mappings
- Provide technical guidance for the design and implementation of data analytics systems and tools
- Work with the team to develop a data governance framework, with a focus on data quality and protection of sensitive data, through establishing policies and standards, principles, processes, related tools, and data architecture
- Resolve production problems and data issues and conduct root cause analysis
- Participate in the design, development, and analysis of data architecture and data mart approaches
Knowledge And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in development using SQL for various transactional and/or analytical database systems
- Skilled with architecture, design, development, and support of ETL, DWH, and Reporting solutions
- Experience implementing data analytics tools in an enterprise setting, including installation, rollout, training, troubleshooting, and QA
- Experience in the development process with hands on experience of basic design, structured programming, work reviews, testing cycles from unit to acceptance testing, release build, implementation, and post release bug/issue fixes
- Proficient with Oracle SQL (e.g., complex views/joins, analytical functions, regular expressions, materialized views)
- Experience working with large volumes of data and relational / dimensional data models
- Experience with business intelligence reporting tools available on the Tableau platform (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server, Tableau Prep) required
- Experience with cloud technologies in the business intelligence area such as Snowflake, Sigma, Tableau cloud strongly preferred
- Experience with other business intelligence reporting tools such as Business Objects, PowerBi preferred. Experience with Python is preferred.
- Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and comfortable working under pressure in an unstructured environment with little supervision
- Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly
- Strong systems/process orientation with demonstrated analytical thinking, organization skills, and problem-solving skills
