What's The Role

A Process Control Domain PCD/OT SME is a deep technical expert in designing and managing of (PCD/OT) infrastructure which involves firewalls, switches, routers, servers, hypervisors, applications, and their integration into the overall local network (called the Process Control Domain). They have mastery of skills in configuration and maintenance of security controls that safeguard the process control layer.

The specialist should also be knowledgeable in the following concepts: IT Service Management and Integration Support, On-premises and Cloud Hosting, Business Change Management, Continuous Improvement, IT Architecture Information Risk Management and Assurance, and Collaboration Tools.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Drive complex and high priority incidents resolution by assisting in key operational activities in terms of delivery, fixes, and supportability with operations staff and/suppliers.
  • Provide root cause analysis on problem tickets
  • Assist with Transition to Support activities
  • Assist with Service development and deployment
  • Coach and train junior engineers

What You Bring

Mandatory

  • Educated to degree level, preferably in Information Technology
  • A minimum of 8 -12 years overall work experience
  • Prior experience in an IT support environment supporting business applications / infrastructure
  • Knowledgeable in TCP/IP protocols and IP addressing schemes
  • Knowledgeable in firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
  • Knowledgeable in VMware Virtualization and Windows Active Directory and scripting (PowerShell)
  • Self-starter with good analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledgeable in ITIL processes, incident, problem and change management
  • Extensive experience in handling operational issue in various applications such as SolarWinds, Windows OSSQL, VEEAM, VMware vCenter Server, NetApp, McAfee Enterprise
  • Ensure PCD Services demand/project interfaces are clearly defined and documented.
  • Have an overview of security measures implemented and documented non-compliance to information security requirements.
  • Develop, maintain and execute any Asset / Site-specific procedures required to maintain PCD security compliance.
  • Installing, Updating and periodically scanning/Monitoring of all the IT systems in PCD networking using implemented tools, systems and applications
  • Review security logs, report findings/security incidents if any and escalate where needed.
  • Ensure incidents are properly investigated, remediated, reviewed, and closed
  • Authorize data communication channels, system and user access to applications and systems in the PCD through PAAZ system
  • Developing, testing and upkeep of disaster recovery plans
  • Manage System access to suppliers for remote support/monitoring in a safe and secure manner where needed with endorsement from business
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively and manage relationships with senior business leaders, peers, and subordinates, in a virtual, geographically dispersed, and cross-cultural environment

  • Microsoft Certifications: MSCA / MSCE / Cloud
  • VMware Certifications
  • GICSP Certification OR TA-2 PCD Integrity
  • Cisco certification: CCNA or CCNP and/or Palo Alto Firewall Certification: PCNSE and/or Fortinet : NSE
  • Ability to operate in a global, virtual cross-cultural organization, working in different time zones
  • Be able to work under pressure. Deliver solutions fast, but to quality standards and in a compliant way
  • Ability to handle concurrent tasks with appropriate priority
