Job Overview
Role Summary
To lead the design, development, and technical direction of Augmented Reality (AR) Head‑Up Display (HUD) software for next‑generation automotive platforms. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in computer vision, graphics pipelines, real‑time rendering, and embedded systems for automotive domain.
Key Responsibilities
Own and define the software architecture for AR-HUD systems including sensor fusion, CV modules, rendering pipelines, and projection mapping.Drive technical decisions on compute platform strategy (Embedded Linux/QNX/RTOS, SoC/GPU selection, etc.).Lead system-level design for low-latency, real-time, and high‑precision AR experiences.AR Software Development: Develop and optimize embedded software to collect data from ADAS sensors, implementing real-time AR graphic overlays.Develop frameworks for 3D scene generation, graphics overlays, and AR annotation pipelines.Architect and guide implementation of modules such as:- Object detection & tracking
- Lane and drivable area perception
- Localization & world‑space alignment
- Calibration and projection mapping
- Ensure modular, scalable, testable designs aligned with automotive software architecture standards (e.g., Adaptive AUTOSAR).
- Drive compliance with ISO 26262, ASPICE, MISRA, and cybersecurity best practices.
- Establish software performance KPIs for latency, accuracy, robustness, and thermal constraints.
- Oversee integration, validation, and field testing for AR-HUD features.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Robotics.
- 12+ years of experience in real-time software, AR/VR, computer vision, or graphics rendering.
- Expert in C++ and embedded development.
- Strong background in:
3D graphics (Vulkan/OpenGL/DirectX)
Real-time rendering techniques
Computer vision frameworks (OpenCV)
Sensor fusion: camera, IMU, LiDAR, radar
QNX OS based application development and debugging.
QCOM Automotive Chipset based application development.
- Solid understanding of projection geometries, calibration, and 3D math.
- Experience working on automotive ADAS, or HUD systems.
- Hands-on experience delivering production-grade software in a safety-critical environment.
- Knowledge of perception algorithms used in autonomous driving.
- Experience with ML-based vision pipelines (TensorRT/ONNX Runtime).
