We are looking for: Senior Solution Engineer – Customer Service Proposals
You'll Make An Impact By
- Creation of technical and commercial field service engineering and/or modification proposals based on review and mark-up of customer's technical specifications.
- Collaborate and communicate with both Siemens Regional and Product Business Development in Smart Infrastructure (SI) along with other sales channels on proposal, project and opportunities.
- Coordinate activities during the preparation of proposal documents describing technical, financial and legal aspects of the offer
- Ensure that all relevant project information, documentation and communication are handed over to project execution organization after contract award.
- CRM and Limitation of Authority (LOA) process is a key requirement and metric for accurate pipeline management and bid approval process respectively
- Participate in improvement of sales tools, processes and procedures to establish best in class bidding processes.
- Preparation of all proposal documents including official LoA documents (LoA -Limit of Authority)
- Keep track of all RFQs in Siemens CRM tool.
- Cost calculation for service scope of supply.
- Participation of bid preparation, scope, schedule, budget and division of responsibilities between the team members.
- Establish and coordinate bid team activities.
- Ensure progress according to Siemens official bid approval process while meeting customer expectations.
- Support sales managers during negotiations and clarifications.
- Handover to Project Management Team, once the we get the P.O. In accordance to Siemens guideline.

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and a minimum 4 year engineering experience in EPC, engineering, manufacturing, utility, or industrial corporate environment.
- Advanced degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience.
- 1-5 years engineering/project management/field service experience in transmission and/or distribution products, or equivalent.
- Understanding and/or work experience with some or all the following areas is preferred:
- Medium voltage switchgear (both AIS and GIS), LV switchgear and breakers, medium voltage spare parts and vacuum replacement breakers,
- Experience using Salesforce and Experience using SAP.
- Familiarity with ANSI, IEEE, UL and NEMA standards for power distribution applications and the best practices.
- Must have excellent interpersonal, negotiating, writing and presentation skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts.
- A history of measurable goal-driven success.
- Success in working in a multicultural team environment.
- Basic financial knowledge to understand and participate in ongoing business planning and support the product as well as project lifecycle management processes.
- Travel Required – Less than 10%.
