Sr. Software Engineer

Position: Sr. Software Engineer Role : Sr. Firmware Development Engineer

Location: Bangalore

Experience: 4 to 10 years of experience

Education: B.E/B.Tech in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science Engineering

Responsibilities:

1. Architect, Design and Development of Firmware Components.
2. Identifying and understanding firmware requirements and defining features and functionality
3. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation and design, prototype
4. Complete design and development cycle from Conceptualization, detailed design, Models and design calculations
5. Evaluating firmware and system architectures, designs, implementation and assess system performance
6. Mentoring FW engineering teams in design and development of solutions
7. To be connected with current developments, competition, standards and Represent in standard bodies as necessary

Requirements:

1. Strong firmware Development using assembly/C programming language.
2. Strong knowledge of structured code development methods and debug techniques.
3. Experience with bootloaders, BSP, and firmware in embedded systems.
4. Strong understanding of ARM architecture with Linux OS.
5. Excellent capability to design and deploy efficient algorithms in firmware. In-depth understanding of firmware development processes/cycles.
6. Knowledge of different communication protocols like SPI,I2C and UART
7. Experience in secure booting and boot mode selection.
8. Experience in Processor memory map and re-mapping.
9. Good experience in ARM exceptions , stack, registers and instruction sets.
10. Familiarity with software configuration management tools (GIT/Bitbucket), defect tracking tools, and peer review
11. Good exposure to working with simulations, FPGA environments, debug techniques.
12. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
