About the Role

Want to build systems that power one of the world's largest e-commerce platforms We are looking for engineers who love solving complex, real-world problems at massive scale. Our team builds the core tax calculation and invoicing platform that ensures accurate, compliant transactions across global marketplaces - covering sales tax, VAT, and tax invoicing for physical and digital products.

Every calculation matters. We operate in a fast-moving regulatory landscape where tax laws and rates change constantly, and our systems must deliver precision at high throughput - every single time.

What You will Do

• Partner with the team to inform and drive business decisions through engineering excellence
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions focused on performance, cost efficiency, and security
• Write high-quality, production-grade distributed systems software
• Apply software engineering best practices to ensure consistently high-quality deliverables
• Work in an agile environment where priorities are clear and impact is immediate
• Contribute across the full software development lifecycle - from design and documentation to testing and operations
  
  

What We are Looking For

We are hiring software engineers who thrive on complexity and take pride in operating mission-critical, high-availability systems. You should be self-driven, a good communicator (both written and verbal), and energized by collaborating with talented peers in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Technical Foundation

• Good experience with object-oriented programming languages
• Familiarity with Linux-based development environments
• Experience with relational database systems
• Background in building or operating large-scale distributed systems
  
  

Key job responsibilities

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
