Scope:
- The ServiceNow team partners with business, IT operations, and engineering groups to deliver scalable and enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.
- This role focuses on leading the design, development, and implementation of complex ServiceNow modules and integrations while ensuring adherence to architectural and governance standards.
- The ideal candidate will play a key role in technical design, module configuration, custom application development, and automation across ITSM, CMDB, ITOM and CSM modules.
Technical Environment:
- ServiceNow Platform: ITSM, CMDB, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management), CSM (knowledge)
- Scripting & Development: JavaScript, Glide scripting, Business Rules, Client & Server scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions, Flow Designer
- Integrations: REST, SOAP, IntegrationHub, MID Server, API Authentication, Web Services
- Platform Components: Notifications, ACLs, Service Portal, Service Catalog, Scoped Apps, Forms & UI Builder
- DevOps/Agile: Update Sets, ATF, Agile/Scrum.
- Cloud & Security: Role-based access control, platform security, data integrity
What You'll Do:
Design & Develop
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of ServiceNow modules including ITSM, CMDB, ITOM and CSM.
- Configure and customize workflows, forms, business rules, client scripts, and notifications using JavaScript and Glide APIs.
- Develop custom applications and automation using Flow Designer and IntegrationHub.
- Implement and manage integrations with enterprise systems via REST/SOAP APIs and MID Server.
- Design and maintain a robust CMDB with proper data modelling, discovery, and relationship mapping.
- Enable ITOM functionalities (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management) to improve operational intelligence.
Govern & Support
- Ensure platform configurations align with ServiceNow best practices and security standards.
- Develop and maintain Access Control Lists (ACLs) and enforce role-based access.
- Conduct code reviews, manage update sets, and support platform upgrades and releases.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform issues and performance challenges.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow releases, features, and innovations.
What We Are Looking For:
Experience: 5-8 years total experience with a minimum of 5 years in ServiceNow development and implementation.
Core Skills:
- Deep expertise in ITSM configuration (Incident, Problem, Change, Request)
- Advanced scripting skills (JavaScript, Glide API, Business Rules, Flow Designer)
- Strong knowledge of CMDB, Discovery, and data governance
- Integration expertise with REST/SOAP APIs, MID Server, and IntegrationHub
- Working exposure to ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management) and CSM modules
Platform Proficiency:
- Scoped applications, Service Portal customization and UI Builder
- Update sets, version control (Git), Agile delivery practices
- Security management including ACLs and platform governance
Certifications:
- Mandatory: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Preferred: One or more of the following:
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM / ITOM / CSM
