Backend Developer (Python | FastAPI)

Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with strong expertise in Python and FastAPI to design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs and backend services. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling relational databases, performing data manipulation, and writing robust unit tests.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs ensuring scalability and reliability
• Work with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) for data storage and retrieval
• Perform data processing, transformation, and analysis using Pandas and NumPy
• Write effective and maintainable unit tests using pytest
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams
• Ensure code quality through code reviews, best practices, and documentation
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues

Must-Have Skills

• Strong proficiency in Python programming
• Hands-on experience with FastAPI for REST API development
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and calculations
• Proficiency in pytest for unit testing

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with SciPy for advanced statistical analysis
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
• Exposure to or experience with AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, etc.)
