Sr. Software Engineer - .NET

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer who will be assigned a set of tasks in Product Release or Implementation Projects. The tasks will include development activities for multiple Change Requests/Product Gaps, product regression support, and working closely with the implementation team to conduct Sanity/Smoke tests in client environments. You will also provide onsite support and assist in fixing UAT defects. This role requires hands-on experience in designing, coding, debugging, and prototyping.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Participate in development activities for Change Requests/Product Gaps.
• Provide end-to-end product regression support.
• Support the implementation team in carrying out Sanity/Smoke testing in the client environment.
• Provide onsite support and fix UAT defects.
• Hands-on work in designing, coding, debugging, and technical problem-solving.
• Understand Functional Specification Documents for Change Requests/Product Gaps and perform development accordingly, ensuring minimal or zero bugs.
• Perform unit testing with full impact analysis and test coverage.
• Ensure development tasks are reviewed and verified by the Team Lead (TL).

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Provide onsite support to clients, both in India and abroad.
• Publish status reports for the assigned development area.
• Analyze defects raised by customers in SIT/UAT and work with the Business Analyst team to discuss and resolve these issues.

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience in developing web-based applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET, C#, .NET 4.0, and Ajax.
• Experience with the latest technologies like Angular (AngularJS, Angular 2 or Angular 4), JavaScript, MVC, JQuery, etc.
• Expertise in SQL Server 2008/2012 and advanced SQL concepts.
• Experience with Web Services, Web API, and TFS (Good to have).

Functional Skills:

• Exposure to Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Private Banking industry is preferred (but not mandatory).

• Exposure to the Investment Banking, Capital Markets, or Private Banking industry.

Future Growth for this Role (2-5 years):

• Potential growth into Principal Software Engineer or Tech Lead role.
