Sr Software Engineer

What's the role

• You work very closely with the client, UI developers, and UX designers to design and implement the APIs they need. In addition, HERE provide Indoor Maps in multiple formats and, hence, efficient format conversion and storage mechanisms need to be designed and implemented. You follow the HERE way of working when it comes to the working practices, and the HERE design guidelines, when it comes to the visual outlook.

• We strive for fast software cycles with efficient CI/CD pipelines requiring that both code quality and testing are always at an excellent level.

• You are a full-stack developer with a passion for high-quality code and performance and great user-friendly user interfaces. You have a BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or some other related field.

Who are you

You have the following skills:

• 3+ Years of experience with a solid knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming languages and related technologies including Node.js, JavaScript

• Know frameworks such as React (preferred) or Angular

• Have previously implemented User Interfaces based on the UX design

• Having experience in public cloud technologies including AWS is appreciated

• Familiar with the REST-principles

• Understand the importance of producing high-quality readable code. You not only write good-quality code but also document what you have done

• Have in-depth experience in writing automated tests and know testing tools including Cypress

• Have experience in working with Continuous Integration tools including GitLab

• Know how to work in an agile software development environment as a part of the Scrum team

• Good communication and teamwork skills

You will also be developing the necessary tooling to support the HERE Indoor map creation. The tooling is both by the HERE professional map creation team and the building owners to keep the indoor maps fresh. The HERE Indoor product team is also responsible for a portal through which the HERE Indoor customers interact with their Indoor Maps.
