Sr. Software Development Engineer

Cradlepoint is looking for a passionate and driven Sr. Software Development Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and features. You will be responsible for writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices and coding standards. A critical aspect of this position involves providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members, as well as reviewing code to ensure quality and adherence to established standards.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex software applications and features.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and team members.
• Review code written by others to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
• Participate in cross-team huddles to brainstorm ideas and showcase ideas/designs to larger forums for early feedback.
• Maintain code quality in line with prescribed standards and contribute to the common components library.
• Ensure test coverage of components and applications meets minimum thresholds.
• Take ownership of the application and its uptime, which is critical to the business.
• Understand and participate in scrum ceremonies on a day-to-day basis.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
• Optimize existing systems for performance and reliability.

The Skills You Bring: Required Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in UI development using native JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Ability to utilize these fundamentals to build scalable solutions with or without libraries and/or frameworks.
• Unit testing the application is a must and non-negotiable skill.
• Hands-on experience with React, Angular JS, or Vue Js is a must.
• Having experience in designing a solution from the ground up to the production stack.
• Excellent communication skills are a crucial aspect for this position.
• Cross-team collaboration in both in-person and virtual setups is essential.

Highly Beneficial Skills

• Knowledge of Ember Js.
