Role Description
1. ABAP Development & Enhancement
- Design, develop, and maintain customABAP objectsincluding reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).
- Optimize existing code for performance, maintainability, and compliance with SAP clean-core principles.
- Implement CDS Views, OData services, AMDP, and RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
- Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning of ABAP programs.
2. Integration with SAP Joule & AI Services
- EnableSAP Joule AI capabilitiesfor workflow automation, natural-language interaction, and contextual insights.
- IntegrateJoule AI agentswith ABAP logic for predictive analytics, recommendations, and process automation.
- Collaborate with data scientists and integration teams to expose ABAP data models to Joule for training and inference.
- Build reusable APIs for Joule-driven user experiences within SAP Fiori or BTP extensions.
3. SAP BTP & Cloud Extensibility
- Develop and deploy ABAP Cloud applications usingSAP BTP ABAP Environment.
- Integrate with cloud services (SAP AI Core, SAP Event Mesh, Integration Suite, CAP).
- ApplyClean CoreandSide-by-Side Extensionprinciples for extensibility.
- Use BTP cockpit, destinations, and connectivity services to link on-premise and cloud systems.
4. Quality, Governance, and DevSecOps
- Adhere toSAP's clean-core guidelinesandDevSecOpsbest practices for CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, gCTS).
- Document technical specifications, unit tests, and transport management.
- Participate in peer code reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
5. Collaboration & Innovation
- Partner with functional teams (FI/CO, SD, MM, HR, etc.) to understand business requirements.
- Drive innovation by embeddingAI insightsandautomation triggersinto ABAP processes.
- Stay updated on SAP's evolving GenAI, BTP, and S/4HANA roadmap.
