Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior SAP ABAP Consultant with 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, customization, debugging, and technical solution design. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in S/4HANA ABAP development, enhancements, workflows, forms, performance analysis, and end-to-end technical design.

The consultant will be responsible for analyzing functional requirements, preparing technical designs, developing scalable ABAP solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing recommendations on the best technical approach. The role requires a strong understanding of SAP data flow, tables, debugging, and integration between SAP business processes and technical objects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain ABAP solutions in SAP S/4HANA based on functional and business requirements.
• Design and develop ABAP Reports, User Exits, BAdIs, BAPIs, and Implicit Enhancements.
• Analyze functional specifications and translate them into detailed Technical Designs (TDs).
• Review functional requirements and provide recommendations on the best technical approach, considering performance, maintainability, and SAP best practices.
• Develop and support SAP Workflow solutions, including workflow-related enhancements and troubleshooting.
• Work extensively on ABAP debugging to identify root causes and resolve complex production and application issues.
• Develop and maintain Adobe Forms and Smart Forms based on business requirements.
• Perform performance analysis and SQL/runtime tracing to identify bottlenecks and optimize ABAP programs.
• Analyze end-to-end SAP data flow and identify relevant tables, structures, programs, function modules, and other technical objects.
• Troubleshoot complex issues by tracing data across ABAP programs, database tables, interfaces, enhancements, and business processes.
• Conduct technical impact analysis for change requests and recommend appropriate enhancement techniques.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Perform unit testing, defect resolution, code reviews, technical documentation, and production support.
• Ensure ABAP developments follow S/4HANA development standards, performance best practices, and maintainable coding principles.

• 10+ years of strong hands-on SAP ABAP development experience
• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA ABAP
• Strong experience in ABAP Reports
• Hands-on experience with User Exits, BAdIs, BAPIs, and Implicit Enhancements
• Strong knowledge of SAP Workflow
• Excellent ABAP debugging and troubleshooting skills

• Strong knowledge of SAP performance analysis and tracing

• Ability to recommend the best technical solution/approach based on requirements
• Strong understanding of SAP data flow and related database tables
• Good knowledge of ABAP technical architecture and integration points
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently on complex technical requirements and production issues

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ABAP on HANA
• Knowledge of CDS Views, OData, and S/4HANA extensibility
• Knowledge of RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming)
• Experience with performance optimization and SQL Trace/ST05 or equivalent tracing tools
• Understanding of Clean Core principles and S/4HANA development best practices
