Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced ABAP Lead with strong hands-on expertise in SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration. The role involves leading custom code remediation, aligning developments with clean core principles, and supporting SAP transformation initiatives. The candidate should be comfortable working on modern ABAP technologies and guiding teams through S/4HANA adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Lead custom code migration from ECC to S/4HANA, including analysis and remediation
Use SAP migration tools to assess and adapt custom code for S/4HANA compatibility
Implement clean core practices by minimizing core modifications and using extensions
Design and develop ABAP solutions using ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDPs, and OData
Refactor obsolete programs and adapt custom developments to S/4HANA data models
Work closely with functional teams to align custom logic with standard S/4HANA processes
Perform code reviews, performance tuning, and quality checks
Mentor junior developers and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery
Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience in ABAP development across ECC and S/4HANA
Hands-on experience in ECC to S/4HANA custom code migration and remediation
Strong understanding of clean core concepts and extensibility approaches
Expertise in ABAP Objects, CDS Views, AMDPs, OData Services, and SAP Gateway
Working knowledge of SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, and PP
Experience in SAP upgrade or transformation projects (brownfield, greenfield, or selective)
