Job Description

Position Title: Senior Sales Manager

Location: Bangalore, India

Business Unit: Allegion India Pvt. Ltd

Job Role:

A senior sales manager responsible for handling commercial projects (namely IT/ITeS, Data centers and Infrastructure projects driving revenue, building relationships with Key stakeholders such as data center developers, architect's, PMCs, OEMs, System Integrators and large IT/ITes occupiers. The role combines solution selling (fire rated, security, access control hardware) with vertical-specific business development and key account management.

Roles & Responsibilities

Achieve sales and margin targets from commercial projects in the assigned territory of operation.

Build and grow a portfolio of key specifiers, contractors, consultants, and end clients in the commercial built environment space.

Ensure profitability, timely conversion of project opportunities from lead stage to order closure and payments.

Identify, qualify and track commercial project opportunities through end client's builders, architects, consultants, contractors, OEMs and SI firms

Build strong long-term relationships with decision makers and influencers at key accounts and strategic projects.

Prepare and deliver techno-commercial proposals, negotiate terms, and close orders in line with company pricing and margin guidelines.

Co-ordinate with design/technical, estimation, supply chain and project execution teams to ensure specifications, approvals, deliveries, and site support are aligned with the project timelines.

Maintain and update project pipeline, forecast sales, and report progress, risks and wins to the management at regular intervals.

Communicate value propositions effectively to customers and global stakeholders through proposals, presentations and reviews.

Appoint, build and support channel partners sales, installation and support capabilities through formal hands-on product training and specification support.

Monitor category specific trends and market forces, providing insights into budget shifts and strategic directions.

Handle pilot/mock-ups of products and educating the key stake holders on technical aspects.

Job Requirements:

Full-time bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, IT, Instrumentation, Production) from an accredited college or university

Minimum 15 years of experience in sales/pre-sales of building materials (Lighting, Elevators, Door Hardware, Access Control products)

Good interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required.

Operationally disciplined with a pro-active, performance driven approach.

Detail oriented with strong organizational skills and time management habits.

Motivated self-starter with a high aptitude for acquiring new skills and principles

Proficiency with computer software applications including major Microsoft Office Suite programs, specifically excel.

Willingness to travel extensively in India, with local language proficiency.
