Key Responsibilities
• Direct sales of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, columns, and heavy fabricated
equipment
• Generate and convert enquiries from EPC contractors, consultants, and end-user clients
• Achieve annual sales targets and maintain strong order pipeline
• Lead negotiations and close high-value industrial contracts
Techno-Commercial & Engineering Interface
• Read and interpret datasheets, P&IDs, RFQs, specifications, and contracts
• Prepare and own complete techno-commercial proposals
• Perform detailed costing, pricing, and margin analysis
• Strong understanding of key cost drivers: material, fabrication hours, welding, NDT, PWHT, logistics, margins
• Coordinate with engineering, QA/QC, planning, production, and procurement
Codes & Standards
• Working knowledge of ASME, TEMA, API
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and contract negotiations
Client & Market Management
• Maintain relationships with EPCs, consultants, licensors, and end users
• Handle international clients and overseas markets
• Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and client meetings
Key Performance Indicators
• Annual sales target vs achievement
• Order book value and profitability
• Largest single order closed
• Enquiry to order conversion ratio
• Growth of EPC and end-user accounts
Candidate Profile – Mandatory
• Direct heavy equipment sales experience
• Ownership of techno-commercial proposals
• Ability to read datasheets and P&IDs
• Knowledge of ASME / TEMA / API
• Strong costing and pricing understanding
• Proven negotiation and closure track record
• Relationships with EPC consultants and industrial buyers
• International client exposure
Education
B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Chemical / Production Engineering
MBA / PGDM – Marketing / International Business (preferred)
