Sales Development Representative (Outbound) - Exotel

Location: Bangalore (Work from Office)
Experience: 1-4 years in outbound sales, inside sales, or lead generation
Reports to: Manager - SDR

Why this role matters

This isn't just another cold-calling job.
As an Outbound SDR, you're the first signal of Exotel the one who sparks curiosity, builds relationships, and opens doors with India's top businesses. You'll play a key role in fueling Exotel's growth engine by identifying, qualifying and creating opportunities for our sales team.

What you'll do

  • Own the top of the funnel: Identify potential customers across sectors and reach out via calls, LinkedIn, and emails.

  • Start meaningful conversations with CXOs, Founders, and Product Heads about transforming customer communication.

  • Qualify leads through discovery - understanding pain points, decision-making processes, and readiness to adopt.

  • Collaborate with the Account Executives to hand off well-qualified opportunities and strategize outreach campaigns.

  • Experiment and iterate on messaging, outreach sequences, and tools to improve conversion rates.

  • Track, measure, and share insights using CRM tools (HubSpot / Salesforce).

You'll love this role if you

  • Have 1-4 years of experience in B2B sales / inside sales (preferably SaaS or tech).

  • Enjoy the thrill of outbound - researching accounts, personalizing outreach, and hearing yes after a series of no's.

  • Are curious about technology and can quickly learn how communication APIs, contact centers, and automation tools work.

  • Are comfortable with targets and use data to improve your approach.

  • Speak and write fluent English, and can communicate with confidence and empathy.
