Key Responsibilities- Lead the design, development, and validation of new psychometric assessment tools tailored for school students, ensuring high standards of reliability and construct validity.
- Conduct empirical research, using qualitative and quantitative methods. Strengthen and upgrade the existing tests based on pilot data, field feedback, and psychometric best practices.
- Design and update curriculum modules for the career education program aligned with emerging career trends, developmental & counselling psychology frameworks, and NEP/NCF guidelines.
- Publish research papers, reports, and whitepapers to position the organisation as a thought leader in career guidance, educational psychology, and EdTech innovation.
- Collaborate with academic advisors, counsellors, and product/tech teams to translate research findings into practical, user-ready tools, curricula, and digital products.
- Monitor global trends and innovations in educational psychology, assessment science, EdTech, and career development to guide new product conceptualisation and design.
- Ensure ethical research practices, including data privacy, bias detection, fairness checks, and adherence to assessment and child protection standards.
- Manage end-to-end research cycles, including study design, data collection, sampling strategy, field coordination, analysis, documentation, and dissemination.
- Represent the organisation at conferences, webinars, and academic forums to share research insights and build external partnerships.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong grounding in psychometrics, educational psychology, or behavioral science with hands-on experience in test construction and validation.
- Minimum of 6-10 years experience in research, assessment design, measurement science, or related academic/EdTech roles.
- Proficiency in research design, data analysis, and statistical software.
- Excellent communication, research writing, technical documentation, and academic publication abilities.
- Understanding of Indian school education systems, adolescent career development, and national assessment frameworks.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, content, counselling, and academic teams.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex insights into accessible educational tools, assessments, and curriculum modules.
- Experience with field piloting, user testing, and validation studies preferred.
- Attention to detail with high standards of research integrity, documentation, and ethical compliance.
Educational Qualification
- Master's or PhD (preferred) in Psychology, Psychometrics, Education, Behavioral Sciences, Developmental/School Psychology, or a related discipline from a reputed institution.
- Educators, academicians, and assessment specialists transitioning into a research-driven role are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in teaching, counselling, large-scale assessments, career guidance content, and EdTech product development will be an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel as required for pilots, workshops, and field research.
