Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for a Sr. Research And Development Executive. The individual will be responsible for leading the research and development of new hair care products, conducting sensory evaluations, and formulating innovative hair treatment solutions. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing R&D projects from conception to completion, collaborating with cross-functional teams, staying updated with industry trends, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop cosmetic formulations for haircare, skincare, or related categories
• Evaluate and recommend raw materials based on quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Conduct product testing including stability and sensory evaluations
• Ensure alignment with global cosmetic regulations (e.g., FDA, EU, ASEAN)
• Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams for product development
• Stay updated on new ingredients, technologies, and market trends
• Document all formulation and test data accurately and systematically

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cosmetic formulation or R&D
• Sound knowledge of cosmetic chemistry and global regulatory standards
• Proficiency in formulation software is a plus (e.g., Formulatel, Cosmetix)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and project management abilities
