Job Description
As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will play a key role in the development of OLT software systems for fiber-based access networks. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize networking features that support high-performance broadband deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of OLT software platforms with focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Work on fiber access technologies, particularly GPON/XGPON systems.
- Develop Layer 2 networking features such as forwarding, multicast, VLANs, and QoS.
- Collaborate with product management and system teams to implement features based on customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in telecom software and access networks.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and system-level integration activities.
- Continuously improve system performance and reliability through debugging and optimization.
- Contribute to agile development practices and continuous innovation.
Required Skills & Experience
You Have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field).
- 5 to 15 years of experience in telecom broadband access (Fiber/OLT development).
- Strong programming skills in C/C++, Java, or Go.
- Hands-on experience with OLT platforms, GPON/XGPON technologies, or device-level networking software.
- Solid understanding of Layer 2 protocols (IGMP, PPPoE, VLAN, 802.1x, QoS).
- Experience in debugging, performance tuning, and system-level problem solving.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in multicast handling and QoS optimization.
- Exposure to network software testing, automation, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of access network performance tuning and large-scale deployments.
- Prior experience in feature ownership or technical mentoring.
