WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS:
- Analyze & understand product features and usage, in order to provide inputs to estimation, schedules and develop an effective test strategy
- Define test strategy and automate test cases, maintain automated test cases and execute
- Understand the customer usage and define the appropriate environment to mimic the customer environment for the testing
- Understand different quality factors to ensure effective test case automation development.
- Propose and be a strong advocate of automation technology concepts, influence improvements, report potential risk, and plan for contingencies
- Continuous learning and refinement of testing and automation strategy
- Collaborate with development teams to understand the features getting developed during the sprint, usage, and use cases. Implement this knowledge in automating the test cases
- Engage in innovation/value addition in testing and automation & encourage the team in this direction
- Understanding testing and Automation industry trends
- Provide feedback and recommendations to testing and automation developers on creating quality automation for the features.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:
- BE or MS degree in Computer Science, or related technical field
- Proven practical experience of 5 to 8 years as a QA Engineer.
- Automate test cases using JAVA/Selenium
- QA knowledge - Design and execute tests according to specs (requirements), report bugs, QA methodologies, etc.)
- System wide perspective
- Organized and precise, with strong attention to details
- In-depth knowledge in testing and Automation domains, with database, and LINUX operating systems knowledge
- Maintenance of the existing test cases automation code
- Well versed in Database, LINUX OS usage, Networking
