Position : Sr QC Engineer (copper division)

• Job Purpose
  
  

To ensure that copper products and manufacturing processes comply with approved customer specifications, drawings, quality standards, and internal quality requirements through effective inspection, testing, process control, and documentation.

• Key ResponsibilitiesA. Raw Material Inspection
• Inspect incoming copper raw materials as per approved specifications and purchase requirements.
• Verify material grade, size, thickness, width, weight, surface condition, and identification.
• Review Mill Test Certificates (MTC), test certificates, and material traceability documents.
• Ensure proper identification and traceability of copper material throughout the process.
• Report and control non-conforming raw materials.
  
  

B. In-Process Quality Inspection

• Conduct stage-wise inspection of copper manufacturing processes.
• Monitor critical process parameters and ensure compliance with approved SOPs and work instructions.
• Inspect dimensions, shape, surface finish, straightness, joints, bends, and other applicable parameters.
• Verify product quality at intermediate and final stages.
• Identify process deviations and coordinate with Production for corrective action.
  
  

C. Final Product Inspection

• Carry out final inspection of copper products against approved drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
• Check dimensional accuracy, surface quality, workmanship, and functional requirements.
• Ensure products meet applicable customer and internal quality standards before dispatch.
• Prepare and maintain inspection reports and quality records.
  
  

D. Testing & Measurement

• Perform or coordinate required tests on copper products as per specifications.
• Ensure measuring instruments are calibrated and available for inspection activities.
• Maintain inspection equipment and measurement records.
• Verify test results and take appropriate action in case of deviations.
  
  

E. Non-Conformance & Rejection Control

• Identify, record, and segregate rejected/non-conforming products.
• Analyze rejection and rework causes in coordination with Production.
• Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA).
• Monitor rejection, rework, and process-quality trends.
• Recommend actions to reduce recurring quality problems.
  
  

F. Customer Quality Requirements

• Review customer drawings, specifications, Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), and inspection requirements.
• Ensure customer-specific quality requirements are incorporated into inspection activities.
• Support customer inspections and resolve quality-related queries.
• Maintain required quality documentation for customer approval and dispatch.
  
  

G. QMS Documentation

• Maintain inspection reports, rejection reports, test reports, calibration records, and other QC documents.
• Follow ISO 9001:2015 requirements and applicable company procedures.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of quality records.
  
  

H. Coordination & Continuous Improvement

• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Stores, PPC, and other departments for quality-related issues.
• Provide feedback to Production regarding process deviations and product defects.
• Participate in quality improvement and process improvement activities.
