Sr. QA Test Engineer

Job description

• Translate test cases to automation script using C# for GUI/API tests
• Adhere to coding standards for automation
• Manual testing of web-based applications and services
• Proactive participation in both manual and automation testing
• Understand web-based architecture and debug errors
• Execute functional, Database, Sanity, End-to-End integration, and Regression testing
• Review code and fix issues in automation runs
• Analyze root cause of script failures and logged Bugs
• Track automation identified defects
• Identify automatable test cases and plan for automation
• Set up test data and execute automated test cases
• Communicate effectively with QA Manager and other stakeholders
• Deliver high-quality product in accordance with project scope/delivery dates
• Collaborate with Development, QA, Project Manager, BA, and onsite teams
• Escalate and follow up on issues and deviations from SOPs
• Understand SDLC and STLC processes
• Good C# experience
• Experience in testing web services, Rest REST APIs
• Use service testing tools like Fiddler, SOAP UI, POSTMAN
• Understand SQA methodologies
• Knowledge in Database & SQL, ability to create & mine data using SQL queries
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Protractor, Playwright etc
• Create Automation framework like Modular, BDD, POM etc
• Knowledge and experience in TFS/MTM
• Understand Agile/Scrum methodology and have experience in agile environment
• Experience in Test data setup across multiple modules
• Knowledge of Defect Management process
• Preferred candidate to have a degree in BE/MCA or equivalent.
