Sr. Python Developer

Cradlepoint is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Python Developer - Automation Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in automating activities defined within our managed services delivery. Your expertise in Python development, particularly with frameworks like Django, Flask, or Fast API for building web applications, will ensure that our automation solutions are robust, efficient, and meet the required functionality for our clients. You will also own the responsibility of providing timely updates to all affected partners regarding any new factors impacting the automation applications you design or deploy.

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

• Undertake development, programming, and testing of automation systems, ensuring high quality and performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest automation trends and proactively apply them to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs.
• Be actively involved in Solution Design, Development, and Integration for automation initiatives.
• Engage in problem-solving and critical thinking to overcome complex technical challenges.
• Focus on delivering results and meeting customer expectations through effective automation.
• Clearly share all knowledge related to owned automation applications, including code, application architecture, user-IDs, passwords, and security-related parameters, with appropriate partners.
• Help define the automation tool strategy and develop robust processes for envisioning automation development as a core practice.

The Skills You Bring: Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Information Technology (IT), Computer Science (CS), or Master of Computer Applications (MCA).
• Python Proficiency: Proficiency in Python with a minimum of 6+ years of hands-on development experience.
• OOP & Design Patterns: Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts and design patterns.
• Web Frameworks: Experience with frameworks like Django, Flask, or Fast API for building web applications.
• APIs & Microservices: Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Databases: Working knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
• Java Knowledge:Knowledge of Java is required.
• Version Control: Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• SDLC & Agile: Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
