Role Description The Sr. Protection and Control Engineer is a full-time role based in India, responsible for designing, reviewing, and implementing protection and control schemes for Substations. This role focused on protection, control, metering, and SCADA design for U.S. substation and BESS projects. and ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements. We are looking for someone with 7–12 years of hands-on Protection & Controls design experience and strong experience developing complete P&C packages, including protection one-lines and three-lines, AC/DC schematics, relay panel designs, wiring and termination drawings, metering circuits, cable schedules and BOM. Daily activities involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, supporting project planning and documentation, reviewing vendor and contractor submittals, and mentoring junior engineers to maintain high engineering and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with experience in power systems, protection principles, and control circuits.
  • Proficiency in protection and automation systems in transmission, Substation and distribution networks.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with protection relays, SCADA/RTU integration, and relevant industry standards (such as IEC, IEEE, and utility practices).
  • Ability to interpret and produce single-line diagrams, schematics, wiring drawings, and logic diagrams with high accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with US engineering, construction, and operations teams.
