Position Overview
Prompt Engineer is an emerging role at Annalect, which plays a key role in developing our advanced generative AI capabilities. Prompt engineers work closely with business, product, and engineering stakeholders to create valuable and amazong AI capabilities with LLMs and other AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate prompts for AI agents, chatbots, and other capabilities.
- Develop monitoring techniques to check the accuracy and performance of models during development and production. Test and analyze outputs from AI by experimenting with different prompts/techniques. Work with application and QA teams to implement monitoring and CI/CD
- Combine correct techniques for querying data in alignment with the capabilities for prompts
Required Skills
- At least 5+ years of previous software engineering experience. Working experience of common software development techniques, including git, github/bitbucket pull request workflows, and intermediate python (ruby, C#, or other server language)
- Proven ability to write clear and specific instructions for LLM and diffusion models
- Experience with interactive problem-solving techniques. Familiarity with iterative design methodologies. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Solid knowledge of data structures, data formats, and data modeling
- Understanding (and preferrable practical experience) with common software architecture patterns, ability to reason about different components of the software stack
- Passion for Technology: Excitement for new technology, bleeding edge applications, and a positive attitude towards solving real-world challenges
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Additional Skills
- BS, MS, in Computer Science, Computational Linguistics, or a related field, or equivalent real-world experience
- Knowledge of Vector databases such as Pinecone or Milvus with experience in at least one type of databases (MSQL/ PSQL)
- Experience with LangChain and Weights & Biases is a plus
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and Hive
- Proven ability to independently execute projects from concept to implementation and to maintain a live product
