Job Description:

- Project Specific Regulatory Compliance and Standards Activities:
- Ensure that products meet the required regulatory standards and certifications for different markets (e.g., CE, UL, FCC, etc.).
- Stay up to date with the latest global regulations and standards, ensuring the company's compliance with legal requirements.
- Convert regulations and standards into engineering requirements, and record them in a requirements management system.
- Ensuring requirements are properly linked and cascaded
- Develop validation plans to confirm the design will meet the requirements
- Producing compliance assessment reports for battery equipment
- Interact with production, service, testing, and validation teams to resolve compliance-related issues.
- Project Management (multiple projects & single location):
- Receiving and studying the job
- Planning, Estimation, and tracking
- Effective communication with project stakeholder
Mission:
To help the design team comply with global standards and do the design verification and validation of the product (e.g. Battery Pack, Charger) for Mining machineries like Trucks, Loaders, Drill rigs etc. You will lead the electrical verification and validation design from concept generation to prototype testing and production implementation.Epiroc is currently on a mission to accelerate the transition to zero-emission technology. On this role you will be working very closely with our global team in various Battery pack and Charger development Projects.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years in validation and verification of electrical components or machinery
Education:
- BE / BTech Electrical Engineering or M. Tech in Power Systems Preferred
Knowledge Requirement:
- Understanding of the EU CE marking scheme and experience assembling technical files
- Ability to interpret and apply international regulations and standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Experience
- Knowledge of battery electric vehicle systems and components
- Experience with mining or construction equipment.
- Ability to read schematics and drawings (single-line diagrams, P&IDs, assembly drawings)
- Familiarity with global environmental regulations (REACH, RoHS, US TSCA)
- Experience leading risk assessments and/or functional safety assessments
