ROLE OVERVIEW

This is a detail oriented problem-solving role to enable the build of new business model capabilities in Rupeek. You will be embedded in Rupeek's branch business team to identify key capabilities required, understand best practices, build contextual solutions, align cross-functional stakeholders, and drive solutions to full resolution.

This role requires someone who is deeply detail-oriented, a structured problem solver, strong with external and internal partnerships, relentless in follow-through, and highly effective at working across functions and team — branch staff, regional managers, technology, finance, and compliance — to create durable operational change.

You will work directly on building a new business process from the ground up — setting up its core capabilities, onboarding the vendor and partner ecosystem, and solving the operational problems that come with launching something new in a complex, fast-moving environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

What You Will Do

Build Core Capabilities

  • Identify the capabilities and processes the new business needs to operate reliably at scale.
  • Design these capabilities from scratch and set up operational infrastructure: solutions, workflows, controls, escalation paths, tracking systems.

Vendor & Partner Setup

  • Map out the vendor and partnership ecosystem required to run the new business.
  • Evaluate options, negotiate terms, and onboard the right partners — end to end.
  • Define SLAs, accountability structures, and review cadences to keep partners performing.

Problem Solving Framework

  • For every problem statement: research best practices across relevant industries
  • Contextualise to Rupeek's business model, customer base, and operating constraints.
  • Design the solution — including the SOP, process map, and ownership matrix.
  • Pilot the solution in a controlled setting, gather feedback, iterate, and then scale.

Cross-functional Alignment

  • Work with field teams, tech, HR, risk and finance to implement solutions
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders — through clarity, data, and persuasion.
  • Ensure decisions are documented, owners are clear, and timelines are tracked.

Monitoring & Iteration

  • Define the metrics that indicate whether a solution is working.
  • Build tracking mechanisms and review cadences to catch deviations early.
  • Close loops — a problem is not solved until the data confirms it.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Background

  • UG from IIT, NIT, BITS, or equivalent or a PG/MBA from a Tier 1 or Tier 2 institute.
  • 2–3 years of experience in a fast-growing startup or a new initiatives/ intrapreneur role
  • Prior exposure to new business building, process design, or operations in a 0→1 environment is a strong plus.
