SR. Process Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Process design engineering (Basic, detailing & improvement)
• Preparation of material balance, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), heat balance, and capacity calculations for the product
• Preparation of technical data sheets for reactors, heat exchangers, pumps, vessels, columns, etc., as per product-specific requirements and standards
• Preparation & review of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) as per standards; generating documents for design projects including PFDs and P&IDs
• Responsible for carrying out HAZOP studies as per P&IDs and ensuring execution according to the finalized documents
• Preparation of material balance and heat balance for new products to obtain process norms
• Estimating batch size by considering product parameters and equipment capacity
• Time cycle reduction and product setup
• Implementation of cost-effective improvement projects related to raw material usage, yield, time cycle, debottlenecking of equipment, equipment occupancy, and reduction of overhead & fixed costs
• Involvement in improving safety systems such as fire hydrant systems, blanketing devices, relief devices, nitrogen systems in clean rooms, and heat detector systems
