We are seeking a Senior Power BI Analyst with extensive experience in reporting and business intelligence solution delivery. The ideal candidate will be a senior professional responsible for architecting and delivering high-impact Power BI dashboards that drive strategic insights. This role requires deep expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, and a strong understanding of data governance and security principles.
Key Responsibilities
- BI Development: Architect and deliver impactful, interactive Power BI dashboards to provide strategic insights across various business functions.
- Semantic Modeling: Lead the design and optimization of semantic models to ensure scalable and high-performing reports. This includes creating curated metrics, calculated columns, and applying advanced DAX for complex logic and time-intelligence functions.
- Data Integration & Governance: Integrate data from external and internal sources using APIs, SQL, and Power Query. Ensure data reliability and adherence to governance standards, supporting programs like data quality management and lineage tracking.
- Security & Automation: Implement and manage Power BI security models, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace governance. Improve reporting pipelines by using CI/CD automation for deployment and version control.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Proactively engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical artifacts. Collaborate with engineering and data architecture teams to ensure reporting aligns with the overall data platform strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 12 years of total experience in reporting and BI, with at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in Power BI development.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep technical expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and semantic modeling.
- Strong proficiency in SQL development across various data sources (e.g., SQL Server, Salesforce, Oracle ERP).
- Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric is required.
- Experience with Power BI security models, data governance protocols, and data quality controls.
- Knowledge of CI/CD for BI workflows is essential.
