Job Summary
We are looking for a Senior Oracle WMS Functional Consultant with strong experience in Oracle Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Oracle SCM modules to lead and support the implementation of WMS for a new warehouse supporting Power Systems. The consultant will be responsible for end-to-end functional activities including configuration, integration with manufacturing organizations, testing, cutover, and go-live support.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and implement a new Oracle WMS-enabled inventory organization for a newly established warehouse.
- Perform functional changes and enhancements to existing non-WMS inventory organizations used for manufacturing.
- Design and configure WMS rules including receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, and task management.
- Enable material flow from supplier WMS warehouse assembly line of an existing inventory organization.
- Set up WMS responsibilities, roles, and security access.
- Analyze impact on existing customizations and business processes and recommend functional enhancements.
- Prepare and review functional specifications, reports, and business documentation.
- Perform IT functional testing of new and enhanced objects.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and resolve functional issues.
- Support cutover planning and execution, including data validation and reconciliation.
- Provide production go-live and post-go-live support.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle SCM / WMS Functional Consultant.
- Strong functional expertise in Oracle WMS.
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Inventory, Purchasing, Order Management (OM), and WIP.
- Experience integrating WMS with manufacturing and assembly line operations.
- Strong understanding of WMS rules engine, task management, and RF/mobile transactions.
- Experience working with custom reports, interfaces, and extensions.
- Strong testing, UAT, and go-live support experience.
- Ability to work closely with business users, IT teams, and technical developers.
Good to Have
- Experience with BOM, Costing, MRP/Planning, and Quality modules.
- Prior experience in Power Systems / Manufacturing domain.
- Exposure to Oracle EBS WMS or Oracle Cloud WMS implementations.
- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
