About the Role
We are a US Staffing Company placing IT consultants on contract engagements across the United States. As we scale our consultant bench, we are looking for a sharp and experienced Sr. OPT Recruiter who owns the full sourcing lifecycle — from identifying and screening consultants across all visa categories to onboarding them, preparing their profiles, keeping them engaged, and ensuring the bench is always consistently supplied with market-ready consultant profiles.
You will be sourcing across all visa categories — OPT, CPT, H1B, GC, and US Citizens — covering both fresh graduates entering the market and experienced consultants with 3+ years of project history. At the Sr. level you own bench health, sourcing strategy, profile quality, consultant engagement, and compliance readiness end to end — and will be expected to guide junior recruiters as the team grows.
This role is based onsite in Hyderabad and operates on US business hours — a commitment we want you to be clear on and genuinely comfortable with before applying.
Key Responsibilities
- Source IT consultants across all visa categories — OPT, CPT, H1B, GC, and US Citizens — covering both fresh graduates and experienced profiles across all major IT domains
- Execute high-volume sourcing daily across all active channels — Dice, Monster, Indeed, LinkedIn, Naukri, university portals, OPT and IT groups on WhatsApp, Telegram, and Google Groups, and direct outreach networks
- Screen all candidates thoroughly before onboarding — assess technical skill depth, communication quality, work authorization validity, and overall market readiness with enough domain knowledge to evaluate profiles across Java, Python, Data, Cloud, QA, Salesforce, and other common IT domains independently
- Own profile preparation end to end — build and align consultant resumes to current market demand, build profiles from scratch for fresh OPT/CPT graduates, and ensure every consultant on bench is submission-ready before marketing begins
- Manage all onboarding documentation and compliance — collect and verify work authorization documents, EAD cards, and I-9 documentation, ensure OPT/CPT training plans are in place, and never market a consultant with unresolved compliance issues
- Maintain accurate records of visa statuses, work authorization expiry dates, STEM OPT extension timelines, and H1B transfer statuses — flag risks and expiring authorizations to the operations team proactively
- Maintain and own hotlist quality, accuracy, and freshness at all times — organized by technology domain, visa category, experience level, and availability
- Keep bench consultants actively engaged post-onboarding — manage relationships, track availability and rolloffs, and initiate re-sourcing ahead of bench depletion
- Coordinate closely with bench sales and delivery teams — align sourcing priorities to live requirement trends and ensure all bench consultants are interview-ready and actively participating in their own marketing
- Meet a target of onboarding 3–5 new consultants to bench per week across visa categories and technology domains
What We Are Looking For
- 2–4 years of hands-on experience sourcing IT consultants in the US staffing market — proven track record across OPT, CPT, H1B, and GC categories including both fresh graduates and experienced profiles
- Deep understanding of US visa categories and their practical implications — OPT cap dates, STEM OPT extension requirements, H1B transfer timelines, EAD work authorization, and compliance documentation standards
- Strong profile preparation skills — ability to build consultant resumes from scratch for fresh graduates and reposition experienced profiles for current market demand
- Sufficient technical domain knowledge to evaluate profiles across common IT domains — able to identify skill gaps, assess experience depth, and determine requirement fit independently
- Strong communicator in English — comfortable building rapport with consultants across experience levels and maintaining long-term bench relationships
- Highly organized with strong follow-up discipline — able to manage a large and diverse bench pipeline across visa categories, compliance timelines, and availability statuses without losing track
- Self-driven and proactive — takes full ownership of bench health and sourcing strategy without waiting to be directed
