Job Description

We are seeking a 7-year experienced immediate joiner for the role of Senior Network Engineer, responsible for the design, implementation, and 24/7 operations of enterprise network infrastructure (LAN/WAN/Wireless). The role focuses on operational excellence, high availability, incident management, and automation within a large-scale enterprise environment.

The ideal candidate should possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on routing and switching expertise, and experience working within ITIL-based operational frameworks.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in Network Operations or Enterprise Infrastructure environments
  • Proven experience supporting large-scale enterprise network environments
  • Experience working in 24/7 operational support models
  • Immediate joiners preferred

Good to Have

  • Exposure to global enterprise infrastructure environments

Certifications

  • Valid CCNP certification (OEM Certified)

Good to Have

  • Additional certifications in Cloud, Security, or Network Automation

Technical Skills

Routing

  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • BGP
  • OSPF
  • EIGRP
  • MPLS
  • Ability to troubleshoot routing convergence and path selection issues

Good to Have

  • Experience with EVPN or L3VPN technologies

Switching

  • Strong knowledge of:
  • VLAN configuration
  • STP / RSTP
  • EtherChannel
  • HSRP / VRRP
  • Experience managing large Layer 2 / Layer 3 switching environments

Good to Have

  • Exposure to Nexus switches or Data Center switching architectures

Cisco Infrastructure

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise Cisco routers and switches, including:
  • Catalyst series
  • Nexus series
  • ASR routers

Good to Have

  • Experience with Cisco SD-WAN deployments and troubleshooting

Juniper

  • Hands-on operational experience in Juniper JUNOS environments

Good to Have

  • Advanced Juniper troubleshooting and firewall management
  • Network Operations

    • Experience managing:
    • Incident management
    • Change management
    • Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex WAN, LAN, and wireless network issues

    Good to Have

    • Experience preparing MTTR reports
    • Participation in Weekly Business Reviews (WBR)

    SLA Discipline

    • Experience working within defined SLAs and operational metrics
    • Strong documentation and ticket management skills

    Good to Have

    • Experience driving process improvement initiatives

    Shift Readiness

    • Comfortable working in 24/7 rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays

    Good to Have

    • Experience working in Global NOC environments

    Automation

    • Experience with CLI-based network configuration and troubleshooting

    • Exposure to Python or Ansible for network automation

    Key Responsibilities

    Network Operations & Monitoring

    • Monitor and respond to LAN, WAN, and Wireless network incidents
    • Troubleshoot routing, switching, and connectivity issues
    • Coordinate with engineering teams, field IT teams, and vendors for issue resolution
    • Ensure high availability and service continuity

    Incident & Problem Management

    • Manage incidents and service requests within defined SLA timelines
    • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for critical network incidents
    • Identify recurring problems and initiate problem management activities

    Change & Configuration Management

    • Implement network changes through approved change management processes
    • Execute configuration updates during maintenance windows
    • Maintain configuration documentation and change records

    Operational Excellence

    • Identify opportunities to improve network reliability and performance
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance network architecture
    • Support automation initiatives for network configuration and monitoring

    Reporting & Analysis

    • Prepare operational reports, including:
    • Ticket trends
    • MTTR analysis
    • Root cause summaries
    • Participate in Weekly Business Reviews (WBR) and operational discussions

    Performance Metrics

    • SLA adherence and incident resolution efficiency
    • Reduction in MTTR (Mean Time to Resolution)
    • Network uptime and service availability
    • Quality of ticket documentation and RCA reports
    • Contribution to automation and operational improvements
