Job Description

Prepare microbiology media for laboratory testing.
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment such as Balance, Autoclave, Water Bath, LAF (Laminar Air Flow), BSC (Biosafety Cabinet), Microscope, etc.
Perform microbiological testing according to standard procedures.
Collect and analyze data to draw conclusions and recommend corrective actions.
Apply appropriate methodologies and data interpretation techniques to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement.
Maintain Standard Reference Materials, Chemicals, Reagents, and Glassware used in the laboratory.
Ensure the laboratory quality assurance systems are maintained to assure validity and reliability of data.
Perform or assist vendors in installation qualification (IQ), operational qualification (OQ), and performance qualification (PQ) of laboratory instruments and equipment.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and concise laboratory records.
Support microbiological sampling and testing programs.
Understand and properly use basic laboratory safety equipment and follow instructions for safe handling and disposal of biological materials, complying with local environmental regulations.
Troubleshoot basic instrument or methodology problems to minimize downtime.
