Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively develop strategies to reduce the cycle time for new employees to reach the 80% productivity goal.
- Design and develop training aids, syllabi, and documentation for use with internal teams and external training partners such as industrial training institutes (ITIs), technical schools, and universities.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with external training entities to enhance training offerings and delivery frequency.
- Coordinate with leadership and functional teams to create critical skills matrices and training curricula supporting skill progression and cross-training.
- Utilize interactive technology and digital learning solutions, including Learning Management Systems (LMS), to document and track training progress across the organization.
- Collaborate with Operations, HR, and IT to ensure alignment of content, scalability, and infrastructure for robust training solutions.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee training calendars, attendance tracking, and milestones critical to program execution.
- Partner with value stream managers, supervisors, and plant operations managers to develop and manage certification programs across manufacturing cells and value streams.
- Establish tools and programs for developing and certifying internal trainers to sustain training excellence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of management and/or training experience.
- Minimum 4 years of combined education and work experience in manufacturing or learning and development, with emphasis on manufacturing experience.
- Proven experience developing and administering training programs in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong consultative approach with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority.
- Demonstrated adaptability to changing requirements in content and approach.
- Knowledge of industrial/manufacturing processes, human factors, and organizational behavior.
- Practical experience applying effective training methodologies.
- Strong project management skills with ability to manage complex processes under tight deadlines in a matrixed organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience engaging with all organizational levels, from manufacturing associates to executive leadership.
- Demonstrated ability in strategic planning and deployment of workforce development programs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA or Master's degree in Training Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Education, or related discipline.
- Experience leading in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech industries.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and advanced manufacturing methodologies.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience designing and delivering diverse learning programs across multiple learning modalities.
