Our Team, Your Impact

The primary responsibility of the Sr. Manager, QAS In-Take Team position is to manage the day-to-day processes for the Complaint In-Take Team including processing complaints, liaising with manufacturing sites, monitoring the daily distribution of complaints received via email/internet/voice mail message, identification and reporting of high profile complaint events. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to training of employees, compiling, analyzing, and reporting of metrics and devise appropriate strategies that will shape the project and outline course of actions as a result, revision of QAS SOP/WIs, resource recruitment, performance management and training compliance

How You'll Spend Your Day

Accountability Supporting Activities:

  • QAS
  1. Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on all In-Take Team complaint processes and scenarios and assists QAS employees to ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Services Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions. Identify by way of peer/site/management feedback, any discrepancies or limitations of existing procedures. Discuss, vet and implement solutions for continuous improvement by way of SOP/WI revisions, automation of QAS applications, refresher trainings and/or process tests.
  2. Liaise with allied departments on any issues arising from incoming reports and work towards appropriate resolution.
  3. Responsible for handling High Profile complaints in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure that proper justification is provided for and documented in all High Profile complaint files related to decisions for elevating to a Field Alert Report (or not) and any relevant concerns are highlighted to Senior QAS management immediately.
  • Corporate Quality Standards:
  1. Conduct the applicability and gap assessment for the CORP STDs for the Quality Systems & Regulatory Compliance Dept. Author new/enhance existing SOPs to close gaps by the Effective Date of the CORP STD. Ensure the GAP assessment is performed within one month so the updates are completed prior to the Effective date of the CORP STD.
  • Inspection Ready & Inspection Management:
  1. Conducting internal self-assessments of various processes within QAS and connecting processes with other Business Partner groups Support audits and inspections of QAS group.
  2. Provide Regulatory Agency Inspection support to Teva sites who supply products to USA market.
  • Project Manager/ Continuous:
  1. Performs activities and takes the initiative to identify opportunities and drive Continuous Improvement within the QAS Intake group.
  • Improvement/ Operational Excellence/ Internal Self Assessments:
  1. Initiating, driving and completing projects spanning manufacturing/packaging sites, allied departments to calibrate QAS processes/data such as QPIS data, site notification addresses and contact numbers. Track wise notification receipts, new product launches, site transfers.
  • Computer System Support SAP/TrackWise/Veeva/ Data Security, etc.
  1. Perform miscellaneous activities to support the development, validation, roll out, gap assessment and/or training on various computer systems related to GMP Quality and Compliance functions. Participate in the Veeva implementation.

Your Skills and Experience

  • The Incumbent is required to have a minimum of 8 years of Pharmaceutical/QA related experience in the Pharmaceutical (or related) industries.
  • Bachelor's Degree - in a scientific discipline.
  • Skills and Abilities required to perform the job functions include but are not limited to: Excellent written communication skills, Teamwork/negotiation skills, ability to professionally and successfully interact with all levels of management ability to work un-supervised, ability to juggle, correctly prioritize and advance multiple activities and projects simultaneously.
