Black & Grey HR is recruiting for one of the leading home textile and rug manufacturing companies. Our client is seeking to hire a Sr. Merchant/ Merchandiser to manage end-to-end production processes, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. The role requires close coordination with factories, vendors, and internal teams to drive seamless execution from sampling to final dispatch. The ideal candidate will bring strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee production follow-ups to ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards, resolving issues proactively.
- Coordinate with factories and external vendors to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries.
- Prepare and monitor Time & Action (T&A) plans, making necessary adjustments to keep production on track.
- Track sample development, ensuring alignment with design intent and quality expectations.
- Manage PP approvals, label approvals, and testing processes to meet compliance and delivery timelines.
- Conduct costing analysis to ensure competitive pricing while maintaining margins and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effective development.
- Travel periodically to factory locations (Bhadohi & Panipat) for quality checks and vendor management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Fashion, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in merchandising/production, preferably in rugs, home textiles, or export-oriented setups.
- Strong understanding of export documentation, buyer requirements, and compliance standards.
- Experience working with international buyers or buying houses is preferred.
- Good knowledge of costing, T&A planning, and production processes.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to travel for factory visits as required.
