Job Description

Join our dynamic warehouse team as a Warehouse Team Leader and be part of an exciting operation that keeps our supply chain moving! We're looking for an energetic professional to lead and inspire our warehouse teams while ensuring operational excellence.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Warehouse & Distribution Operations
    • Lead end‑to‑end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
    • Ensure on‑time, in‑full (OTIF) delivery performance across customers, factories, and project sites.
    • Design and optimize warehouse layout, material flow, and storage strategies to maximize space and productivity.
    • Manage multi‑warehouse or regional distribution center operations as applicable.
    • Responsible for hierarchical management of operators or teams of operators (job codes LWB1, 2 & 3) in a Distribution Center/Warehouse. Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, discipline, etc. Responsible for the performance of standard work within his or her sector or department. May occasionally fill in for or assist LWB1 or LWB2 operators as needed. May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities. May or may not have budget responsibility.
    • Organize and manage (or control) warehousing operations, including reception, storage, order preparation and shipments according to SPS principle.
  • Supply Chain Performance & Continuous Improvement
    • Drive operational excellence using Lean, Six Sigma, and Schneider Performance System (SPS) methodologies.
    • Define and monitor KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order cycle time, productivity, cost per order, and damages.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on automation, digitalization, and process simplification.
    • Support supply chain resilience, scalability, and risk mitigation initiatives.
  • Inventory Management
    • Ensure optimal inventory levels aligned with demand planning and service targets.
    • Drive cycle counting, inventory accuracy, and slow‑moving / obsolete inventory reduction.
    • Collaborate closely with Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams.
  • Technology & Digital Transformation
    • Leverage and enhance usage of WMS, ERP (SAP), barcode/RFID, and analytics tools.
    • Support automation projects such as ASRS, conveyor systems, AGVs, and warehouse robotics.
    • Champion data‑driven decision‑making and smart warehouse initiatives aligned with Schneider Electric's digital strategy.
  • People Leadership & Capability Building
    • Lead, coach, and develop warehouse management teams, supervisors, and indirect workforce.
    • Foster a high‑performance, inclusive, and safety‑first culture.
    • Drive workforce productivity, skill development, succession planning, and engagement initiatives.
    • Manage third‑party logistics (3PL) partners and contractual workforce effectively.
  • Safety, Quality & Compliance
    • Ensure 100% compliance with EHS standards, legal regulations, and Schneider Electric safety policies.
    • Drive zero‑accident culture and conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and training.
    • Ensure adherence to quality standards, export control, and trade compliance requirements.
  • Cost & Budget Management
    • Own warehouse operating budgets, cost optimization, and productivity improvement plans.
    • Drive logistics cost reduction without compromising service or safety.
    • Support make/buy decisions and network optimization initiatives.
Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations
  • Master's degree (MBA / PGDM – Operations / Supply Chain) preferred

Experience

  • 10 years of overall experience in supply chain, warehousing, or logistics
  • Minimum 6–8 years in senior leadership roles managing large or multi‑site warehouse operations
  • Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, electrical, or project‑based supply chains preferred
  • Experience working in matrix and global organizations is an advantage

Technical / Functional

  • Advanced knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, and logistics operations
  • Strong experience with SAP, WMS, and digital supply chain tools
  • Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement frameworks

  • Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinking with execution rigor
  • Data‑driven decision‑maker with strong analytical capability
  • Change management and transformation leadership mindset
