About the Role:
We are hiring on behalf of our client, a well-established transformer manufacturing company with over 50 years of industry presence. They are looking for an experienced Senior Testing Manager to lead testing operations at their Murbad facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end testing of oil-filled and dry-type transformers
- Ensure compliance with IS 2026 / IEC 60076 standards
- Execute and supervise routine tests such as ratio, vector group, winding resistance, impedance, load & no-load losses, IR, induced and HV tests
- Oversee special/type tests where applicable (temperature rise, impulse coordination, short circuit, PD testing)
- Handle Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and coordinate with clients and consultants
- Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate with production/design teams
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to safety standards
- Manage calibration and maintenance of testing equipment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 610 years of hands-on experience in transformer testing
- Prior experience in leading testing teams and handling FATs
- Strong knowledge of IS 2026 / IEC 60076 standards
- Experience in high voltage testing and result interpretation
Preferred Background:
- Experience with medium and large power transformers
- Candidate from the transformer or electrical equipment manufacturing industry only
- Hands-on professional capable of independently managing testing operations
