Job Description

As a Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing, you will be trusted to develop global sourcing strategies that drive cost reductions, alternative suppliers, and business continuity within our Surgical Franchise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and present business case for alternative sources across franchises not limited to Resins, molded components, chemicals, electro-mechanical and metals
  • Align with the objectives of Director, COE to continuously drive productivity, business continuity and the long-term vision for legacy and new product launches
  • Engage with R&D on weekly basis and identify synergies to build case for commercial portfolio
  • Developing and driving strategic sourcing strategies that offer cost savings, introduce alternative suppliers, and provide business continuity
  • Apply data analytics to identify trends within spend data to identify new opportunities and projects
  • Manage and run global RFPs and sourcing related projects
  • Negotiate complex supply agreements to secure the supply of direct materials
  • Develop and present business cases to executive leadership to secure buy in on various strategies and projects

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs; Assoc.+9 yrs; M.S.+2 yrs; PhD+0 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • 10 Years of Relevant Experience
  • Ability to foster strong relationships, both internally and externally
  • Strong analytical skills to influence budgeting and pricing options
  • Experience in Strategic Sourcing with demonstrated ability to develop global sourcing strategies
  • Demonstrated experience building and managing regional and global RFPs
  • Ability to negotiate complex supply agreements and third-party engagements
  • Ability to perform scenario modeling, business case development, and total cost of ownership assessments
  • Strong analytical ability within excel, SAP, Power BI, Alteryx, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience within Direct Materials (injection molding, devices, metals, chemicals)
  • Experience working with ambiguity and driving results
