Brief Job Description

We are seeking a proactive & responsible individual to join our company for ensuring quality standards for Non-Food products through vendor audits, product inspections, and testing. Will manage vendor quality compliance, handle customer complaints with root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions while coordinating with sourcing and product teams to maintain consistent product quality.

Key Result Areas

  • Quality Strategy & Policy Implementation
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and SOPs for all Non-Food product categories.
  • Ensure adherence to company quality standards and regulatory guidelines across sourcing, manufacturing, and distribution.
  • Establish quality benchmarks, testing protocols, and inspection standards for new and existing products.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
  • Vendor Quality Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and approve vendors and manufacturers based on quality capability and compliance standards.
  • Conduct vendor audits, factory inspections, and capability assessments before onboarding and during periodic reviews.
  • Ensure vendors follow defined quality specifications, packaging standards, and product safety guidelines.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to develop strong vendor quality assurance programs.
  • Product Quality Assurance
  • Monitor quality parameters at different stages raw material, production, finished goods, and packaging.
  • Ensure pre-dispatch inspection (PDI) and product testing is conducted before market release.
  • Review and approve product samples, prototypes, and product development trials from a quality perspective.
  • Ensure products meet durability, safety, and performance standards.
  • Quality Testing & Compliance
  • Coordinate with internal labs and third-party testing agencies for product testing and certification.
  • Ensure compliance with BIS, ISO, regulatory, and safety standards applicable to Non-Food products.
  • Maintain records of test reports, compliance certificates, and quality documentation.
  • Customer Complaint Handling & Corrective Actions
  • Analyze customer complaints, product returns, and market feedback related to product quality.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor complaint trends and implement preventive quality improvement initiatives.
  • Product Development & Quality Validation
  • Work closely with product development and sourcing teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated during product development.
  • Review product specifications, packaging standards, and labelling requirements.
  • Ensure quality validation of new product launches and category expansion.
  • Process Improvement & Cost Optimization
  • Identify opportunities to improve product quality while optimizing cost efficiency.
  • Implement quality improvement projects and standardization initiatives.
  • Reduce defects, product returns, and quality-related losses through systematic improvements.
  • Documentation & Reporting
  • Maintain detailed quality documentation, inspection reports, vendor audit reports, and compliance records.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports, quality metrics, and improvement plans to management.
  • Ensure documentation supports traceability and regulatory compliance.
  • Team Management & Training
  • Lead and mentor the quality team responsible for inspections, audits, and product testing.
  • Conduct training programs for vendors and internal teams on quality standards and best practices.
  • Build a quality-focused culture across the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Work closely with procurement, supply chain, product development, and sales teams to ensure quality alignment.
  • Support product launch readiness from a quality perspective.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between internal departments and external vendors to maintain quality standards.

Educational /Professional Qualification

  • Preferred Industry: FMCG / Consumer Products / Retail / Direct Selling / Manufacturing

Work Experience

  • 1015 Years in Quality Assurance / Quality Control (Non-Food Products)
