Job Description

Broad outline of the Role
Assist Corporate Head Security to ensure high-quality security management services to directly & indirectly support business operations, processes, and procedures to contribute to the business growth, revenue, and profit for respective regional area of responsibility (AOR). Take ownership of the successful management of security, safety, fire safety & compliance of all the operational processes within the regional jurisdiction of this role in PSS function. Direct and enforce best-in-class security standards aimed at achieving organizational security objectives in synchronization with the company imperatives and overall goal. Ensure reduction of business risk using value-based security management principles, risk-based approach, and risk management principles for the region. Ensure the comprehensive security & safety of the company's assets, personnel, and operations across a diverse and expansive region. This role is pivotal in developing and executing robust security strategies, identifying and mitigating potential risks, and implementing measures to prevent and reduce losses. Lead critical security projects, ensure stringent compliance with regulatory standards, and foster a culture of security awareness and capability development. Additionally, the role involves leading thorough investigations, managing contracts and manned guarding operations, liaising with local statutory and emergency authorities, and continuously enhancing the security posture to align with the dynamic needs of the business. Regional CAPEX, OPEX management.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience
Graduate/Postgraduate from a recognized university. Desirable candidate from a military background as a Captain / Major or equivalent from other services or with multi-faced experience in managing and leading security operations in companies of Indian and MNC origin. Overall experience of 15 + years in the security domain, out of which min 10 + years should be in the private industry/ corporate sector heading security for a site/region (in middle management cadre).

Security Leadership
Lead the regional physical security function across campuses and other critical facilities, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and operational excellence. Align regional security strategy with corporate vision and business objectives to ensure protection of people, assets, data, and reputation. Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, analytics-based monitoring, and technology-led . initiatives. Represent the security function in regional leadership meetings, various committees, and cross-functional forums.

Strategic Security Management
Lead and oversee end-to-end physical security operations across campuses and other critical facilities, ensuring alignment with global standards and corporate security strategy. Drive security audits, investigations, proactive risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement robust mitigation plans. Conduct periodic security performance reviews at regional levels for on-roll, off-roll, and contractual staff to ensure operational excellence and compliance. Implement and continuously improve security procedures, programs, and technologies to prevent, detect, and respond to evolving security threats. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, EHS, and Facility Management to strengthen the regions overall security posture. Develop and mentor high-performing security teams promote a culture of vigilance, compliance, and continuous learning.

Risk Assessment,Identification, Risk Mitigation, Business Continuity
Lead regional and pan-India CAPEX/OPEX projects focusing on security automation, system integration, and smart monitoring solutions to enhance operational efficiency and situational awareness. To ensure security considerations are embedded in the projects from the design to the commissioning stages. Evaluate and recommend advanced technologies such as integrated CCTV, ACS, VMS, and AI and IoT-driven monitoring tools for improved efficiency. Conduct site risk assessments during project planning and expansion, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams to ensure new site commissioning adheres to global physical security standards. Drive implementation of technology-based controls including AI/ML-based surveillance analytics, integrated command centers, advanced access control, visitor management, and IoT-enabled fire detection systems. Planning, design, and execution of Fire Safety initiatives in the Region, including system upgradation, fire suppression technology, NFPA & NBC compliance, and coordination with internal & external Fire & Safety teams for audits and mock drills. Serve as the central point of contact for all regional security automation and fire safety modernization programs, coordinating with procurement, IT, Facility, EHS, and Projects teams. Lead risk identification initiatives and security risk assessments to protect people, operations, assets, data, and reputation. Develop and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans for all critical sites of the region. Support enterprise risk management by integrating security risk assessments into overall business continuity and disaster recovery planning. Ensure periodic reporting of risk trends, incident patterns, and security vulnerabilities to the Corporate Security Head. Provide regular inputs to the Corporate Security Head on emerging threats and mitigation frameworks relevant to the critical facilities located within the region. Prepare site wise Disaster Management Plan (DMP) to ensure Business continuity during all sorts of emergencies (Flood, Earthquakes, political unrest, riots, strikes, man-made disasters)

Loss Prevention, Incident Management & Investigations
Oversee major incident investigations across the region and support pan-India investigations into theft, unauthorized access, policy violations, and other security breaches ensure timely root-cause analysis and corrective actions. Drive proactive loss prevention strategies to minimize business disruption and asset loss and to ensure timely closure of investigation outcomes with preventive recommendations. Monitor incident frequency and trends to develop long-term preventive measures and improvement plans. Report all major security incidents, findings, and lessons learned to the corporate Security Head- PSS in a structured and timely manner. Build intelligence networks and implement analytics-based approaches to predict, prevent, and manage loss-related risks. Manage executive reporting for high-impact incidents, ensuring leadership awareness and appropriate corrective action plans.

Regional & Pan-India Project Management (Security, Automation & Fire Safety)

Equipment Upkeep, Maintenance, AMC Contract management
Manage upkeep (Repair & maintenance) & maintenance AMC s of Security (ACS, CCTV, XBS, UVSS, Boom Barriers, Flap barriers, HHMD, DFMD, IOT Equipment) & fire safety systems (FAS, Hydrants, Sprinklers, Fire Pumps, Gas Suppression Systems, Fire Extinguishers, VESDA etc). AMC Contract management (SOW, BOQ, Technical Evaluation, PR, PO, NDC) in collaboration with SCM. Ensure 95% up time of all Security & Fire safety systems.

Audits, Governance & Compliance
Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, TL 9001, SOC2 and other applicable certifications. Lead and support regional and national internal/external audits, ensuring closure of non-conformities within timelines. Partner with HR, Legal, Finance teams to ensure vendor, manpower, and statutory compliance with labor and security regulations. Maintain and standardize documentation, reports, and audit artifacts for easy traceability and governance.

Financial & Budget Management
Prepare, manage, and monitor the regional security budget, ensuring optimal utilization of allocated funds. Review and propose annual regional OPEX and CAPEX proposals related to security & fire infrastructure, manpower, and automation projects to the Corporate Security Head for approvals. Provide financial projections and justifications for security-related investments to the Head of Security. Achieve cost optimization through vendor consolidation, process automation, and performance-based contracting models. Ensure transparent accounting and adherence to company financial controls for all security-related expenses within the region. Support Corporate Head security in planning and managing the security verticals budget for strict financial controls and adherence to the company guidelines.

Training & Development, Fire Drills, Mock Drills, Tabletop Exercises
Ensure adherence to Annual Training Calendar and conduct regular awareness & training programs for guards on physical and information security, workplace safety, fire safety, emergency preparedness, POSH. Lead engagement initiatives in the region to enhance security culture across all levels of the organization. Facilitate structured training sessions for security staff, emergency response teams, and internal stakeholders on crisis response (periodic ERT Team training) and preventive security. Develop and implement competency-building programs to prepare the team for evolving threats in the corporate and critical communication/data center landscape. Implement structured training programs covering security operations, emergency response, fire safety, and awareness for all employees within the region. Drive security culture and awareness initiatives including information security, workplace safety, and personal safety campaigns.

Communication, Reporting & Liaison
Ensure timely and accurate submission of reports, dashboards, and intelligence summaries to Corporate Security Head, senior management and key stakeholders. Establish and maintain effective liaison with law enforcement, emergency services, Fire Departments, and local authorities.
