Responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lead the civil and structural design and engineering activities for power plant projects
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on construction methodologies and materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met
- Oversee the preparation of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards
- Manage contractor relationships and monitor project progress
- Resolve any design or construction issues that may arise during the project lifecycle
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to uphold project quality
- Prepare progress reports and communicate project status to senior management
- Mentor and coach junior team members to foster professional development
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, STAAD Pro
- Thorough understanding of civil engineering principles and practices
- Knowledge of construction codes and standards applicable to the energy sector
- Experience with project management tools and software
Non-Negotiable Skills:
- Proven experience in managing civil and structural projects in the Power/Energy industry
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver projects successfully
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Qualifications
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil / Mechanical engineering or related field
Experience
- 12-15 years of experience in Civil & Structural engineering
- Prior experience in the Power/Energy industry is essential
- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale projects
- Proven track record of delivering projects within budget and timelines
