Sr. Manager I

The Software Manager 70 is responsible for managing uniform competency areas or tasks across multiple groups, establishing budgets and monitoring expenditures, methodologies, and workforce to ensure efficient and effective operations. The role offers strategic direction and guidance to software professionals, ensuring their efforts align with organizational objectives and fostering their professional development through continuous feedback and assistance. The role understands the product creation process, ensuring team members possess the requisite skills and knowledge to effectively execute software development procedures. The role plans with a one-year timeframe, establishing precise goals and timelines to achieve long-term objectives and deliverables while adapting to changes in project scope or requirements. The role champions new technologies for optimization, demonstrating deep understanding of product usage scenarios, user needs and is able to create frictionless flows for customer usage.


Your role:

  • Primary responsibility is to lead Tier 4 development team responsible to front face the customers
  • Also owns the DevOps responsibilities on the AWS cloud based environments and perform deployment, monitor and u00A0keep high uptimes.(DORA metrics)
  • Manages the cloud costs
  • Lead, coach, and develop a global T4 support team aligned with Philips leadership behaviours.
  • Build deep product, platform, and domain expertise within the team.
  • Manage capacity, on-call rotations, and skill development plans.
  • Foster a culture of quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Act as final technical escalation point for complex, systemic, and customer-impacting issues.
  • Own T4 maintenance responsibility for the cloud platform within the Philips product lifecycle.
  • Ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and problem management are executed in line with Philips Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Ensure availability, performance, scalability, and resilience of the cloud platform.
  • Oversee support for workflows integrating multiple business Units
  • Exposure to ISO/IEC 27007
  • Ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and problem management are executed in line with Philips Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Drive reduction of recurring issues and improve platform stability and serviceability.
  • Ensure operational readiness of releases (operability, monitoring, rollback, support documentation).
  • Support platform modernization and cloud cost optimization initiatives.
  • Actively participate in audits, inspections, and security reviews.


You're the right fit if:
Experience in managing DevOps team. At least 14 years of industry experience with hands on experience in AWS.

Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the companyu2019s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the companyu2019s main facilities, generally at the customersu2019 or suppliersu2019 locations.
