Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Finance Controller / Business Finance professional to act as a strategic finance partner to leadership. This role goes beyond traditional finance, focusing on driving business performance through financial insights, commercial analysis, and operational excellence.
The ideal candidate comes from a technology, SaaS, consulting, or high-growth startup environment and thrives in fast-paced, evolving business setups.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Finance & Commercial Partnering
- Partner with leadership to drive strategic decision-making
- Collaborate with Sales, Operations, Product, and cross-functional teams
- Lead pricing analysis, profitability assessment, and margin improvement initiatives
- Build financial models and scenario planning frameworks
- Analyze business performance and identify growth opportunities
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles
- Track actuals vs plan and provide actionable insights
- Prepare MIS, dashboards, variance analysis, and business reviews
- Enable data-driven decision-making through financial analytics
3. Finance Operations & Controllership
- Ensure strong financial controls, compliance, and governance
- Oversee monthly closures, reporting, and reconciliations
- Manage audits, taxation, and statutory compliance
- Drive process improvements and finance automation initiatives
4. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with senior leadership and business stakeholders
- Present financial insights and strategic recommendations
- Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and internal teams
Desired Candidate Profile
- Background in IT, ITES, SaaS, consulting, or high-growth startups
- Strong experience in Business Finance, FP&A, or Finance Business Partnering
- Proven ability to work in dynamic and fast-paced environments
Technical Skills
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling expertise
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Tally, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
