Broad outline of the Role Project Management is responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, tracking, and governance of CAPEX projects in line with the Annual Operating Plan (AOP). The role ensures optimal utilization of approved CAPEX, timely project delivery, coordination with internal and external stakeholders, and transparent reporting through dashboards and periodic management updates.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
BE in Electrical & Electronics Engineering with10 to 15 years of relevant experience.
Other Knowledge & Skills PMP / PGMP certification (preferred)
Strong project management and CAPEX governance expertise Excellent financial acumen (budgeting, tracking, variance analysis) Stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership Data-driven reporting and dashboarding skills Risk management and problem-solving capability Strong communication and presentation skills Exposure to large-scale infrastructure, manufacturing, or IT/OT projects Experience handling multi-crore CAPEX portfolios.
Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management1.Lead and manage multiple CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects from initiation to closure. Define project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success criteria. Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure on-time and cost-effective execution. Ensure compliance with internal project management standards, safety, and statutory requirements. .
2 CAPEX AOP Management Own the CAPEX Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for assigned projects / functions. Validate business cases, project justifications, and investment proposals. Align CAPEX planning with business priorities, operational needs, and leadership direction. Engage with Finance for CAPEX governance, approvals, and audits.
3. Monthly Utilization / Tracking of CAPEX AOP Track monthly CAPEX spend against approved AOP and provide variance analysis. Ensure accurate forecasting, utilization optimization, and avoidance of cost overruns. Highlight risks related to underutilization or overspend and propose corrective actions. Maintain proper documentation for CAPEX expenditure and financial reviews.
4. Project Dashboard & Reporting Develop and maintain comprehensive project dashboards covering schedule, cost, quality, and risks. Provide periodic (weekly / monthly) updates to leadership and key stakeholders. Enable data-driven decision-making through clear visual reporting and insights. Publish consolidated status reports for ongoing and completed projects.
5. SCM-Related Issues Compilation & Coordination Act as a single point of contact for Supply Chain Management (SCM) coordination on project-related matters. Compile, track, and resolve SCM-related issues such as vendor delays, material shortages, and logistics constraints. Collaborate with procurement, vendors, and project teams to ensure timely material availability. Escalate critical SCM risks and drive resolution through cross-functional engagement.
6. Weekly Operations Updates Prepare and present weekly operations / project review updates to senior management. Track key milestones, critical path activities, and action items. Ensure alignment between project execution and ongoing plant / business operations. Drive accountability across project teams and stakeholders.
