Job Description

Lead and manage the engineering team to achieve operational excellence.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of technical projects.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering goals with overall business objectives.
Hands-on experience with enterprise desktop, web and cloud applications using Java stack, javascript , and various database systems.
Familiarity with on-prem infrastructure, containerization, and Azure Cloud
Knowledge of CI/CD, test automation, security practices, secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC), and quality assurance
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Manage budgets and resources effectively to ensure project success.
Stay updated with emerging technologies relevant to the homewares and DIY retail sector.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Sr Manager Engineering should have:

A degree in engineering or a related field.
Proven expertise in managing engineering teams and projects.
Experience in the retail industry, particularly in homewares and DIY.
Strong knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively.
Proficiency in using relevant engineering tools and technologies.
