Sr Manager - Electical Maintenance Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (Minimum 12 years of experience in maintenance, testing, commissioning of electrical equipment of Steam/ Gas Turbine power stations) Formulate the right strategy for the functioning of the department and drive initiatives in the electrical maintenance team and organizationally to contribute to long term operational excellence including optimizing the electrical maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems in Plant-1 Strategy: Ensure Electrical Maintenance Department performance contributes to the achievement of DEWA's Strategic Plan and objectives. Review strategic plans giving special consideration for Life Time Extension and on replacement or refurbishment of capital equipment .. Improvement: Investigate major breakdowns and failures of electrical equipment and systems and propose feasible solutions and review protection, philosophy settings and to improve equipment safety, reliability and availability. Maintenance Activities: Overall management of the electrical team for maximum utilization of manpower and their development to be experts in the field. Overall management of the electrical equipment condition and performance for maximum availability and reliability of the plant. Coordination: Co-ordinate with other departments and stakeholders for smooth, safe, efficient and effective execution of major overhauls and restoration of plant in case of major breakdowns. Plant Availability: Review contract enquiries for procurement of spares and outsourced services to meet the plant annual outage program and ensure minimum down time in case of unforeseen events. Assets Utilization: Carry out RLA (Residual Life Assessment) studies for aging equipment and initiate action for L TE (Life Time Extension). Reports: Generate full technical reports identifying and analyzing common mode failures and making recommendations for their elimination. New Projects: Review technical specifications for new projects, upgrades, retrofits and new equipment with reference to international standards and ensure approval of all design drawings prior to manufacturing or embarking on the project and approve final factory or/and site acceptance tests and sign take over certificates. Shall be able to plan & schedule all maintenance activities with effective inventory management. prepare & control budgetary provisions In depth knowledge of all electrical equipment of a power plant, sequence controls and protections with exposure to Management Systems Familiarity with specialized test equipment for diagnostic testing of electrical equipment and power system analysis.
