Role Overview

We are seeking a results-drivenBusiness Development Managerto lead growth in ourA2P SMS Wholesale business. This role will focus on expandingglobal SMS traffic, strengthening aggregator and carrier partnerships, and optimizing routing, pricing, and margins.

Based in Bangalore, you will play a critical role in scaling ahigh-volume, margin-driven international SMS business, working closely with Carrier Relations, Operations, and global commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. A2P SMS Wholesale Growth

  • Own and driveA2P SMS wholesale revenue, volume, and margin targetsacross international markets.

  • Build and expand relationships withglobal aggregators, carriers, and strategic partners.

  • Identify opportunities to increaseSMS traffic volumesacross key routes and geographies.

  • Leadcommercial negotiationson pricing, volume commitments, and long-term partnerships.

2. Routing, Pricing & Margin Optimization

  • Work closely with Carrier Relations and Operations to optimizerouting, delivery quality, and cost (MTRs).

  • Driveleast-cost routing (LCR)strategies while maintaining delivery performance and compliance.

  • Monitor and improveroute-level profitability, gross margins, and traffic mix.

  • Managerate cards, pricing benchmarks, and competitive bid responses.

3. Partner Ecosystem Management

  • Develop and manage a strong network ofSMS aggregators, interconnect partners, and carriersglobally.

  • Ensurebalanced and reciprocal traffic flowswith key partners.

  • Continuously evaluate partner performance acrossquality, cost, and reliability metrics.

  • Act as the primary commercial owner forpartner escalations and performance management.

4. Traffic Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Analyze traffic patterns, pricing trends, and competitor activity to identifygrowth and arbitrage opportunities.

  • Provide insights to shapeglobal routing strategies and commercial priorities.

  • Support expansion into new routes and markets to improvecoverage and redundancy.

5. Cross-Functional Execution

  • Collaborate closely withCarrier Relations, NOC/Operations, Finance, and Sales Operationsto ensure seamless execution.

  • Align onpricing approvals, routing changes, quality SLAs, and delivery performance.

  • Drive efficient onboarding of new partners and routes.

Qualifications

  • 510+ years of experience inA2P SMS wholesale, telecom, or CPaaS environment.

  • Strong understanding ofSMS ecosystem, interconnects, routing, MTR economics, and aggregator landscape.

  • Proven track record of managinghigh-volume SMS traffic and partner relationships.

  • Experience inpricing, routing optimization, and margin management.

  • Familiarity withSMPP, routing tools, and messaging infrastructureis a strong plus.

  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
