Responsibilities:
Costing & Financial Control
- Lead standard costing framework and analyze variances to drive actionable business insights.
- Strengthen costing systems, processes, and internal controls for accuracy and governance.
- Monitor material variances, yield, and efficiency metrics and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure accurate inventory valuation and validate landed costs for effective procurement decisions.
Inventory & BOM Management
- Oversee BOM validation and updates in collaboration with plant teams.
- Track inventory ageing, slow-moving stock, and drive corrective actions.
- Ensure robust stock reconciliation and alignment with financial records.
MIS, Budgeting & Analysis
- Deliver accurate MIS up to contribution/EBITDA level for performance tracking.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
- Drive contribution analysis and ensure reconciliation with financial statements.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with cross-functional teams on pricing, NPD costing, and cost revisions.
- Provide actionable insights to improve margins and optimize cost structures.
Cost Optimization & Projects
- Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives across procurement, production, and logistics.
- Track and evaluate cost reduction projects with measurable business impact.
Governance & Compliance
- Support internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Strengthen controls and documentation across costing and inventory processes.
Systems & Automation
- Drive automation of MIS and costing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Leverage SAP, BI tools, and analytics for enhanced decision-making.
Plant Interface
- Engage with plant teams through regular visits to understand operations and validate cost drivers.
- Ensure strong linkage between shop-floor realities and financial reporting
Requirements:
- Experience in costing, MIS, budgeting, and inventory management in manufacturing.
- Should have knowledge of Balane Sheet and P&L reading.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP (MM, FI, CO, COPA).
- Understanding of cost structures, plant operations, and production processes.
- Exposure to automation, BI tools, and process improvement initiatives.
- Qualification: CA / CMA (ICWA) preferred.
- Experience: 10-15 years in manufacturing setup.
